A bit of a loner with a warm heart, Ronin studied particle energy absorption at the Academy. No one understands what he says except for the phrase "Samurai Punk"
Slash to absorb shots or wound and slow players. Each shot absorbed and player hit with the slash gives Ronin two power shots stacks.
Note: To really get a clear view of the following explanation please refer panels image below. These images shown below show adjacent square that surround Ronin with blue squares being in range of his ability and red being unreachable in correspondence to his positioning and the surrounding objects.
Slash - When Ronin uses his Ability he swings a sword in front of himself. The range of his ability extends to the left, right and 3 tiles adjacently in front of where he is standing (one tile directly in front and two tiles to the left and right of that) as shown in panels 3 and 4. As you can see in both of these panels objects do not hinder the total range of his ability. However, if there are two adjacent objects/players/projectiles diagonal of each other that overlap with Ronin's ability he will not be able to hit anything within the tile between those two objects diagonal to where he is standing. This concept is demonstrated in panels 1 and 2. If Ronin hits a player within the range of the slash they are knocked back, stunned for a short duration, and a bleeding effect is applied that follows the player even when they turn invisible again as well as slowed until the bleeding effect stops. A slash can be used up to three times in quick secession.
Power shots - If Ronin is able to slash a shot or hit an opponent within the range of the slash he gains two power shots. Power shots are enhanced shots used by firing off the Invisigun that have the power of two shots combined. This means that it can instantly destroy objects that would normally take two hits or cause two damage instead of one to objects that take more than two hits to take out (e.g. security cameras, proximity gates). If a power shot hits an object that takes one hit to destroy it will hit it and then convert into a normal shot in the same tile that object was hit and continue moving down the map within the same line of fire. This effect also applies when a power shot and another players shot collides destroying their shot instead of creating a blast barrier unless it collides with another power shot. When he gain power shots the total number he has appears above his head when gained and he can have a max of up to 10 shots stacks at a time. Power shots do not affect his cool down timer.
Note: A Power Shot will destroy Carmen's blocks without reflecting them.
Strengths / Weakness
Ronin is best used at either close range with the sword or at a distance.
Tight enclosed maps can be tough for Ronin, grabbing shots from short to medium range can be tricky.
Ronin is an excellent choice in a long distance fire fight, as he can absorb a shot and then fire two power shots back in return which can't be blocked with a blast barrier.
Ronin can collect power shots by shooting Carmen's blocks and collecting the projectile that bounces back.
Ronin can collect blast barriers with his sword. Take care not to leave yourself open doing this.
Firing a close power shot at someone is a powerful move as it will blast through their shot/blast barrier and give them no time to react to the shot that makes it through.
Take care when slashing players up close as they can still turn and shoot.
Firing two power shots in quick succession can be more deadly. If a single power shot hits a single shot, it will destroy it and a slow single shot will continue in the direction of the original power shot. This is easily stopped with another shot from your target (if they have time). Two power shots is much harder to deal with, especially if your target is stuck in a lane.
